How can we help?

The comittee

Founded in 2005, the Maisonneuve-Rosemont Hospital Users’ Committee ensures that users receive care and services with respect and dignity. The Committee is responsible for informing, protecting and defending the rights of all persons using the services offered by Maisonneuve-Rosemont Hospital.

By law, every establishment in the health and social services network must set up a User Committee. Made up of 5 volunteer members elected at the Annual General Meeting, the Committee becomes the spokesperson for all users of its institution.

By listening to requests and making observations, the Committee aims to actively contribute to the continuous improvement of the quality of life of users at Maisonneuve-Rosemont Hospital.

Our mission

Inform

As well as having in-depth knowledge of users’ rights and obligations, the Committee has a duty to publicise them and inform users about them.

Promate

Through evaluations, comments and observations, the Committee works with management to constantly improve and offer a quality of service that lives up to expectations.

Defend

The Committee’s mission is to defend the collective and individual rights and interests of users. It must receive requests and guide users in the steps to be taken to be heard by the establishment.

Accompany and assist

The Committee supports and accompanies the user through all the steps associated with the complaint, from drafting the complaint to meetings with the establishment’s authorities.

Ensuring the comittee works properly

The Committee is at the service of the user, not the establishment for which it works. Made up of volunteers, the Committee provides confidential support, free from any conflict of interest.
