On September 4, we witnessed a milestone for our community: the official groundbreaking ceremony<\/strong> marking the start of construction on the underground parking lot for the future Maisonneuve-Rosemont Hospital.<\/p>

This event, symbolic yet highly meaningful, represents much more than the beginning of parking work. It is the first tangible step<\/strong> in a long-awaited project that will transform access to health care in Montr\u00e9al\u2019s East End.<\/p>

Why start with the parking lot?<\/h3>

Before building the new hospital, the site must be prepared and essential infrastructure put in place. The underground parking lot, which will be completed first, will free up current spaces and make way for the next phases of construction. It\u2019s a key step that paves the way for the main project.<\/p>

A major project for our community<\/span><\/p>

Although the groundbreaking marks mainly the start of the parking lot, it symbolizes years of effort, planning, and mobilization.<\/strong> This project, which will span several years, will give HMR a modern, functional environment tailored to the population\u2019s needs.<\/p>

A shared sense of pride<\/h3>

For the Users\u2019 Committee and all partners involved, this first step is a source of great pride. It reminds us that despite the challenges, the future of HMR is being built step by step \u2014 and together.<\/strong><\/p>
